Core Concepts
The vocabulary behind ARX digital workers, governance, and lifecycle controls.
Digital Worker
A digital worker is an AI agent or automated capability with an assigned job, owner, scope, and record.
Cell
A cell describes where a digital worker fits: function, level, and work type. Cells help teams reason about coverage across departments.
Shape
A shape describes the type of work a digital worker performs:
- Research: gathers and synthesizes information
- Production: drafts or creates work products
- Coordination: routes, orchestrates, escalates, or manages handoffs
Cohort
A cohort is a group of digital workers deployed, supervised, or evaluated together.
Supervisor
A supervisor is the accountable human or team responsible for a digital worker's scope, approvals, and review.
Policy Gate
A policy gate decides whether an action is allowed, denied, or escalated for human review.
Personnel Record
A personnel record is the durable history of a digital worker: identity, job, tools, approvals, actions, evidence, and lifecycle state.
Termination
Termination removes a digital worker's access and records the reason and evidence for deactivation.
